Singer Katy Perry missed the inauguration of President Donald Trump. Through her Twitter, Perry stated she was engraved in sleep. Guess what! Sleep was rejuvenating and energizing Perry of what was yet to take off on Saturday.
The 32-year-old Roar singer led in the Women’s March On Washington protesting against the 45th president. The march Perry participated in occurred throughout the States of America. The women came together in solidarity to defend their rights, safety, health and families.
Katy Perry joined with other celebrities such as Lena Dunham, Amy Schumer, and Amber Tambyln in marching, with plenty of top images being shared from the occasion. Moreover, Perry joined with Gloria Steinem who is a writer, feminist activist, and organizer.
The Roar singer is politically vocal and active. Through the election period, Perry was the biggest star enthusiast of Hillary Clinton. The “Pink” singer was one of the disappointed Americans upon Trump’s victory.
Besides Perry being in controversy with her parents for being conservative Republicans, she stated that their political differences did not impact the family relationship.
